Something that I have always thought about when it comes to social media is what are the next steps and what is going to be the new improvement that changes social media?  I have felt for a while that every social media app is the same and although they have different features they still all follow the same format.  Recently my group and I did our presentation on tiktok which has been the fastest growing social media but in my opinion it is not a new concept that just made the app extremely easy to use and understand.  I am wanting for an app to really revolutionize social media and completely change the field.  One way that I think a social media company could change the way social media is done would be by doing activities in real life that you have to record and post to social media.  I think that this would make social media so much more interactive and engaging.  I am wondering if anyone in the comments has an idea that could do this and change the way that companies are making social media apps.

  1. Great Post!! Your reflection on the future of social media resonates deeply with me, as I've often wondered similar questions myself. It's true that many social media platforms seem to follow a familiar pattern, with small updates rather than groundbreaking innovations. Your insights on TikTok's success and its evolution reflect a feeling shared by many, and your suggestion about integrating real-life activities into social media platforms is intriguing. It aligns with my belief that the future of social media lies in fostering genuine connections and experiences beyond the digital realm. Personally, I've found that my favorite interactions online was often as a result of authentic moments shared with others. Your idea has the potential to transform social media into a more interactive space where users can connect over shared experiences in real time. It's inspiring to see individuals like you envisioning the next horizon for social media and challenging companies to innovate in more meaningful ways.
